ANNUAL MEETING OF THE KANSAS ACADEMY OF SCIENCE, 1996

The annual meeting took place at Emporia State University on Thursday and Friday, March 21-22, 1996. More than 250 people participated, and 90 scientific presentations were given. The meeting had a special theme of Geographic Information System (GIS) technology, databases, and applications in the Great Plains region of North America. The Kansas chapter of the Wildlife Society met also in conjunction with the Kansas Academy of Science. A field trip visited the Ross Natural History Reservation in the Flint Hills, and a tutorial was given on HTML WebPage authoring.
